4. Florida Privacy Laws

Florida Information Protection Act (FIPA)

As a business operating in Florida, we adhere to the Florida Information Protection Act (FIPA), Fla. Stat. Section 501.171. FIPA requires us to maintain reasonable security measures to protect personal data and to notify affected individuals and the Florida Department of Legal Affairs within 30 days of determining that a data breach has occurred. If a breach affects 500 or more Florida residents, we are additionally required to notify the Department. If 1,000 or more residents are affected, we must also notify nationwide consumer reporting agencies. If, after a thorough investigation, we reasonably determine that a breach will not cause financial harm to individuals, we will document that determination in writing and retain it for five years as required by law.

Florida Digital Bill of Rights (FDBR)

The Florida Digital Bill of Rights (FDBR), effective July 1, 2024, primarily applies to large technology companies with over $1 billion in annual revenue. JJ Elite 11 does not meet that threshold. However, we voluntarily honor the consumer rights principles established under the FDBR, including the right to access, correct, and delete your personal information, and the right to opt out of data sales and targeted advertising.

Florida Minors and Age Verification

Florida law imposes additional protections for minors online. We do not collect, use, share, or sell the personal data of users under the age of 18 for advertising purposes. We do not knowingly allow minors to access services or content that are not appropriate for their age group. Parents and guardians retain full rights to access, review, and request deletion of any personal data collected from their minor children.

5. COPPA Compliance (Updated 2025)

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the FTC's 2025 amended Rule, which became effective June 23, 2025. Our compliance includes the following:

- We do not collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

- We provide parents and guardians with clear notice of what data is collected, how it is used, and how to request its deletion.

- We do not retain children's personal data for longer than is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected.

- Parents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's data at any time by contacting us at jjohnson@jfcsoccer.com.

6. Data Security

We maintain a written information security program that includes reasonable and appropriate technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. The measures we apply are proportionate to the size of our organization and the sensitivity of the data we handle, consistent with FIPA and COPPA requirements. No method of data transmission over the Internet is completely secure, and while we work diligently to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
